Oh dear me... I am at a loss for words to this story. I thought I recognized the writing early on in Part 1 but it wasn't completely confirmed till I was halfway through the story.
This is absolutely one of the BEST stories I've read in a long time. It's amazing how you managed to incorporate so much of the prompts into this single story. So Susan fighting in the Resistance and Peter in the RAF! I've really grown to like stories of Peter serving in the Air Force.
And you wrote of Maenads, Bacchus, and vineyards! A very, very long and expanded story that reminds me of a similar one I read earlier this year. :-) And how very timely to find such a tale written when I've been lately diving deep into such things as "Casablanca" and reading about operatives of the SOE serving in France!
I could just go on and on, but for now I think I'll bookmark this and re-read it all over again in the morning.
