This really is fantastic, in a beautifully dark and disturbing way. The Lady of the Green Kirtle is such a destroyer, a usurper, and she is shown here in all of that power and evil, yet magic, too. I love the use of the gnomes to show, through them, the Lady and her purpose.

And Rilian! Oh, there are layers upon layers there, and in a very small number of words you hint at them beautifully.
