Wow. I loved this, from Ed's first waking moments to the descent from the Claw. The true Narnia feel of this pervades the whole of the story and I love how you so clearly delineate Peter and Edmund, in the touches large and small. The worldbuilding is wonderful. I adore this style of story that just takes you and dumps you into the middle of it with what we need to know slowly developing through internal exposition and dialogue. Whooping Cranes. OMG. Whooping Cranes with a hangover. The singing during the training drills? The spring campaigns? The Bear at breakfast? Edmund's dreams. It's just wonderful wonderful wonderful.

Now, must take a break but I'll be back to finish this wonderful look inside Ed's head. Also, brilliant fulfill of the prompt.
