MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS. That was utter perfection. I really like the salamander, by the way. I love the evolution of how they are each letting go of their old lives -stripping off the clothes of English customs, in more than one way- and embracing (*snicker*) those Narnian customs. Each character was perfection, and it was so great to see the beginnings of Dalia and Lambert. All in all this is such excellent worldbuilding.

And tbh Lewis was a bit of a wannabe-pagan who knew all the mythology and taught about it, before he converted to Catholicism. I'd be very surprised if he didn't suspect that this very sort of tradition happened in Narnia

So, so good, all of it. :D
