Oh, wow, I really like this a lot! I love getting Prunaprismia's POV - she's not a character we see much of. And I love how she isn't entirely sympathetic, but doing a bit of scheming of her own. And I like how she comes to think more of her son, and protecting him, from all sides, than of her comfort and her wants and needs - she never gives up what she's longing for, but the adjustment to her vision is well-done.
