Oh, this is perfect! It is everything I never even knew I wanted!

I don't even know where to begin. I love how the story has been broken up among three (four?) storylines that weave seamlessly together. Little Frank's pov is absolutely adorable and offers an interesting perspective - calling the Reverend and his wife "Mr and Mrs Man" and sleeping during the day and sharing his milk with the cat and eating underneath the table! Queen Althea is such a wonderful character - strong and firm in her beliefs and not afraid to meet her doom, yet not giving up either. Nor does she just wait and trust that what Aslan says will simply come to pass, but she makes arrangements to get her sons into the care of loyal friends.

I love that the parts that take place in Golden Age don't merely serve as story-telling platforms but actually have their own plots as well, both in the very very /very/ beginnings of the Pevensies' rule as they try to put things together and figure out just what it is like to rule a country, and more so in the tale of travelling to Telmar. You've done amazing worldbuilding with the cultures, creating great contrasts between the countries yet still making it completely believable that they coexist in the same world.

The best part was, of course, the eventual reveal that little Frank became the Pevensies' father and that Peridan is also related to them, and that Peridan's brother is Casp! Oho! And so it turns out that Aslan's first appointed king sired a long line that lasts right until the very last days of Narnia!

(I think the best part is that I've long had a headcanon weaving the kings and queens of Narnia together just like that, only I think you've done it SO MUCH BETTER.)

The details are incredible in this, too! I love that the prophecy from LWW was part of a larger poem and the hinted-at story of Queen Susan and King Aran. The bits with Chrys - "Don't hunt Narnian Bunnies" and the glittering stones - made me laugh.

So thank you thank you wonderful mystery writer. I love this piece so much, with your glorious worldbuilding and awesome characters (both canon and OC) and of course the slow build to an awesome realization. This review barely begins to cover all that I love about this fic. Thank you. <3
