Christmas Carols, for Unsuitenedt.
Christmas Carols, for ![]() Written by ![]() |
By Christmas, England is nothing but a half-remembered dream for the new Kings and Queens of Narnia. But some things don't fade, and Christmas traditions are remembered. No one asks why there's a piano in Cair Paravel – if the Beavers can have a sewing machine, then why shouldn't there be a piano in the castle? And when Edmund suggests singing Christmas carols, "like Mother did," they all agree instantly. So Peter sits at the piano to play (he wonders for a moment, how his fingers know what to do), and Susan and Lucy's voices mingle together, singing Silent Night. |
Original prompt: Something Christmassy! England or Narnia, book- or movie-verse. Peter and Susan are my favorites, but if the fantastic four aren't your thing, I'd love anything with Caspian or Tirian as well. Or if you're feeling like something a bit less mainstream, something with Mr. and Mrs. Pevensie would be interesting! Mix & Match: Riding in the snow, open fires, mulled wine, Christmas under fire, carols on the piano, night before Christmas, bells. |
