Happy Days, for [livejournal.com profile] sophiap.

Written by [livejournal.com profile] mihnn.
Susan sighed happily as she stood out in the snow, letting the snowflakes coat her hair and lashes. There had been a time when she had wanted nothing more than to defeat a Snow Queen and get rid of winter. But, time had passed and she had missed Christmas and all that it had meant.

Susan gasped when she felt a cold, wet ball of snow hit her in the face.

Lucy giggled. “You can’t catch me if you tried.”

Susan shook off the snow and ran after her sister. “You asked for it.”

It was good to be home.
Original prompt:

Susan and Lucy bonding as sisters. Something holiday themed would be delightful.

I really like this...and the ambiguity of not knowing whether they're in Narnia or on Earth. But it matters not—home is where the heart is, and hers is currently with her sister in the winter snow. Lovely!

I wanted to keep it as the reader's preference. And thank you. :)

Nice to see a happy and fun moment between the sisters, and that Susan can think of Christmas and winter as something else besides an evil Queen and a frozen land.

I liked the idea of showing how perception changed with time.

"It was good to be home." -- oh, lovely note! and back home where? :) I love that wherever it is, there's this simple delight in what is, and in being where they are and in being together.

Back home depends on where you see it. ;)

Thank you so much for this! I love the quiet feel of this, and the idea that winter can once again be a joyous thing for them.
