Making a list, checking it twice! Twice and thrice and many times again. There were so many visits to keep track of! He's gonna find out who's naughty or nice! Catchy tune, Father Christmas thought to himself. Foolish humans, though. As though he set himself up to arbitrate every soul's behaviour. Why, if he had to watch everyone for signs of wrong-doing, he'd have no time to make gifts! nor anyone to gift, for that matter. No, no, wishes were the thing. Wishes and need and good hearty cheer. His task, as it always was, is to bring joy.
Original prompt:

Something Christmas-y! Some prompts below, but write whatever makes you happy and fits into a drabble!

  • Father Christmas preparing for his night
  • Celebrating in other lands
  • Caspian's first Christmas as King (assuming it wasn't celebrated under Miraz)
  • Christmas in hiding (during Telmarine rule)
  • Narnian Christmas bedtime stories
  • Is Father Christmas the same in Narnia as in England? (however you wish to interpret this question)
  • Is Christmas celebrated in Aslan's Country (pre- or post-LB)?

Possible Miracle Cures, for [livejournal.com profile] crescent_gaia.

“Gifts are supposed to make one jolly, Edmund,” Lucy admonishes gently when Susan shepherds in his surprise – a fox, two satyrs and a squirrel family he recalls well, carved stark in his mind. The old fox proposes a toast, and the prickle of claws run like memory down Edmund's back as two young squirrels use him for climbing practice, unafraid of him now, making everything so different from that morning a year past in melting snow that he can think of only one thing to say, forcing words past the lump in his throat.

“But I am.”
Original prompt:

A family Christmas - any type of family, be it one on Narnia or one on Earth or a mix of the both. If they don't want to write that, anything cute of the Caspian/Susan nature works, but I would like it to have a slant on Christmas, please.

Bringer of Hope, for [livejournal.com profile] gehayi.

“The name came from the race of men,” Father Christmas explained, “For like the saint of your legends, I bring the gift of hope. But in this world, I am not constrained to act only on the day of my feast. I come when all seems lost; I bring the promise of relief.”

Lucy considered his words, heels kicking against the stone of the wall on which she sat beside him. “You’re saying it will be all right. That the sickness won’t spread.”

“I am telling you not to give up,” he corrected. “Now, is there anymore of that lemonade?”
Original prompt:

How Christmas or Father Christmas came to Narnia. (After all, Christ wasn't born as a child in Narnia; Christ is Aslan. So why is there a Christmas?)
