Hello folks!

Well, there was interest in a Big Bang, so [livejournal.com profile] unsuitenedt and I will be running one again this year!

As last year, the challenge will be hosted here on [livejournal.com profile] narniaexchange, and again, it will not be an anonymous exchange - instead, you are committing to writing a longer story and completing it in the timeframe given. Because we know not everyone is comfortable with a 20,000 word story, we are again offering the option of a Mini Bang, with a minimum of 10,000 words.

We will try again to have an art component this year, but we don't have a lot of people interested in signing up for it. So please, if you're not interested in writing, but would still like to participate, we'd love to have you sign up to create an artwork for the stories. And if you're a writer, but would also like to create some art, feel free to sign up to do both. And make sure to link this to all your friends - the more participants, the better!

Prompts posting will begin this Sunday so start thinking! There is no limit to the amount of prompts you can post - the more variety, the better! Signups will begin November 4 and submissions are due April 14. That gives both artists and writers extra time.

You will find a complete set of rules and FAQ here. All posts will be in the [livejournal.com profile] narniaexchange community, so please join or watch the comm so you don't miss a thing!

*************

We'll also being running the Christmas Card Drabble Exchange this year!

Sign-ups will be at the end of November.Same rules as last year, found here. But we will be updating the schedule and the dates there soon, so DON'T mark those on your calendar. :D

If you have any questions about either the Big Bang or the Christmas Card Drabble Exchange, feel free to comment here, or email us at narniaficexchange@gmail.com.

Hello everyone! That was the last of the Big Bang fics and accompanying artwork last night, and it was a great pair to go out on, I think!

I want to say thank you to everyone who participated and made this Big Bang a success. So thank you to all the writers, artists and betas, and thank you to all the readers and commenters! You all deserve a big hand for your hard work and enthusiasm.

Tonight we have a bonus for you! We had a late dropout in the Big Bang, but the artwork was already done. So I think you can consider this a trailer for the story!

Artwork back here! )

And finally, we have the Narnia Fic Exchange coming up in June, so start getting excited for that! :D

Summary:When Susan's daughter Polly stumbles upon a green ring and sets off on a quest to save the world and stop an evil queen, Susan and her husband Tommy must journey between the worlds to get her back. Rating: T, just to be on the safe side
Pairings/characters: Susan, Lucy, Edmund, Peter, Mary Tudor, Thomas more; Susan/Caspian, Susan/OC, Peter/OC, all normal Tudor couples
Disclaimer: I do not own neither the narnian characters nor the historical characters, just my story.
Possible Spoilers/Warnings: death, spoilers for the first three Narnia movies and three seasons of the tudors
Author's Notes: I’ve used some scenes from the series the Tudors and although I’ve tried to be historically accurate I’ve changed some things. I’ve also changed the age of the Pevensies when they went back to Narnia for the second and the third time
Summary: It is August 1524 and the Pevensies are being send to the English court. Having just lost their own world they must now learn to walk in this world. They must accept their place and live their lives, but they must be careful. For the court of Henry VIII is a dangerous place, one step in the wrong direction could prove disastrous...

Hi all. Sorry again about the late posting last night - once again I was having problems with LJ. I'm not sure what's going on, but it's annoying!

In any case, I will not post a story tonight, to give people time to read the fab To Every Thing There Is a Season.

Since this is my first time running a Big Bang, I am kind of feeling my way as I go along. Are people happy with the original posting schedule of every day, or would you rather the stories get posted every other day, to give you more time to read, as these are long stories?

[Poll #1833432]

Thanks for your input! The next story will be posted on Saturday!

Title: To Every Thing There Is a Season
Author: Elizabeth Culmer ([livejournal.com profile] edenfalling)
Rating: PG-13ish?
Characters: Ilgamuth Tarkaan, Prince Rabadash, many OCs, several named canon characters who might as well be OCs, and various horses
Disclaimer: The Chronicles of Narnia is the intellectual property of C. S. Lewis and his estate. No money is being made from this story, and no copyright or trademark infringement is intended.
Warnings: This is a war story, no matter how much of the actual fighting I elided. Therefore, warnings for character death, violence, and moral dilemmas.
Author's Notes: This is not the story I signed up to write, but it turned out that I couldn't write a sequel to "Out of Season" without first going backward. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] metonomia for the beta, and to [livejournal.com profile] i_autumnheart for the artwork!
Summary: Ilgamuth Tarkaan was fourteen when he first rode to war. He was likewise fourteen when he pledged his life and his name to Prince Rabadash, a decision that would shape the rest of his life. Prequel to "Out of Season."

Title: To Every Thing There Is a Season
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] i_autumnheart
Artist's Notes: I have made two paintings as illustrations for "To everything there is a Season" by Elizabeth Culmer. Both rated G, non-spoilery for any other story (as far as I know) and the medium is gouache on paper.

I was a victim of internet connectivity issues, and that's why the story went up so late yesterday.

To give everyone a chance to read, we're going to take a break on posting tonight, and will resume again tomorrow night, with the next story.

Sorry about the issues last night! I hope everyone is enjoying the stories and the fantastic artwork!
