Summary: Becoming Gentle is an uphill battle she didn’t expect. How does one become Gentle in Narnia when one does not even know what it means? A story of negotiations, politics, and midnight escapades in the Golden Age as Queen Susan learns to be Gentle.
Author’s Notes: I’ve often had a difficult time understanding Susan and her title. I like the battle fierce Susan who appears in the movies, but it’s very hard to reconcile her with book!Susan. Even in the books, there are so many contradictions, particularly in regards to Susan, which I tried to briefly explore here.
