I enjoyed this so much. There is a terrific sense of place and time associated with this, in things like the shared flat, the secretarial job, the lovely telling of stories in the girls' school, and the swing dancing.
The end is so very, very hopeful, that they are Narnian and English both and ready one hopes to embark on something new and exciting.
There is also, unexpectedly, a very nice relationship h ere between Lucy and Edmund, how only he can set her feet right when she dances the wrong steps. I do so hope that she takes Polly's sage advice and begins to write!
