Oh, this is fantastic! Funny and bittersweet and just a bit tragic too.
I loved seeing Digory and Polly at this point in their lives, and how wonderful Polly is! She knows, "the hardest thing in this world, is to live in it" but that the living and the making things better is the work she needs to be doing. But oh, she'd give all that up if Digory needed her to. And, of course, in the end, Digory won't ask that of her.
I loved the displaced, lost and longing-for-a-home fairies, and how those turned into the Cottingley Fairies we all know, thanks to Digory and Polly.
And the bits with Rosebud, and Uncle Andrew! There was so much good humor in this, and a feeling of wonder and hope.
