And so they forget Narnia in England, mirroring the way they forgot England in Narnia -- not all at once, just a slow blurring until nothing remains but half-imagined stories. I like that they forget in order of age -- Peter first, then Susan, then Edmund, until only Lucy still clings to their life in the other world -- and that this is presented as a natural thing, not any kind of failing. It's sad, but then, nothing in life lasts forever, and in a way it's equally sad to remember Narnia and never return.
