Thank you, and I'm glad you liked the story! I could definitely see Aravis acting as an older sister to both of them; even in HHB, she seemed more mature than either Cor or Corin. Corin's definitely not a fool and he sees the growing intimacy between his brother and Aravis, even if they don't realize it yet.
And yes, I think one random Bear causing trouble far south of the country would not get as much attention with the people now trying to run Narnia. There are far more important things to worry about since the Pevensies mysteriously disappeared.
