Narnia Fic Exchange Rules:
You have to read this thoroughly before signing up for the exchange.

Important dates:
Sign-ups ends: 19 June
Sending out prompts: 20-25 June
Deadline: 30 August

-If you're requesting a fic, it's assumed that you're able and willing to write a fic in return. Sure, life may throw surprise emergencies at you, but remember that someone is taking the time to write you a fic, so let's pay it forward.

- You can request a fic about any canon character. You can request bookverse, movieverse or AU stories. This is a exchange for the characters in Narnia, not their actors. You are allowed to ask for crossovers as well, but be considerate and offer an alternative, in case your writer doesn't know the other fandom.

- You have to have a beta look over your story before turning it in. Good spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation are compulsory. Therefore, use a beta/Britpicker to catch all the errors that you can't see by the time that you've finished the story. See the beta post if you don't have a beta.

- The fic you write should be at least 1000 words in length. You are more than welcome to write more than that. Chaptered fics make the mod happy. Only requirement is that the fic is complete by the time you send in your fic. The mod need all the chapters before I can start posting your story.

-Tag [html codes] your story before sending it in. If your fic is not tagged the mod will send it back to you. (If your story doesn't need tags please leave a note saying so.)

- The stories will be posted anonymously by the mod. This means that the identity of the author won't be revealed until the end of the exchange. At the end of the exchange there will be posted a master list. Please don't post or acknowledge your story anywhere else before the exchange is over.

-You can be as detailed or vague as you want when filling out your prompt. Your fic giver will do her best in fulfilling your wishes, but remember, no writer thinks the same.

-And always, always remember to say thank you! Someone has taken time to write you a fic! It doesn't matter if it didn't turn out the way you wanted, (if you want that then you should write it your self!) say thank you anyway!

- I expect ALL participants to follow through on their assignments. However, if you MUST drop out for whatever reason, please tell me ASAP so I can find a pinch hitter.

This is the post where you sign up for beta duty. It doesn't matter if you're a member and plan on participating or just watching the community for fun. If you are a beta reader and are willing to help our wonderful writers, please sign up!

The Official Pinch-Hitter Post

Please, please, please sign up for pinch-hitting* here. Last year there were two fics that needed pinch-hitting, and I'm sure it's going to happen this round too. Same rules apply as when signing up for beta duty. You don't have to be a member/participant of the exchange to be a pinch-hitter.

*Pinch-hitting is what happens when a writer drops out of the exchange for some reason and someone steps up to write the abandoned request. That someone is the pinch-hitter.

The sign up for the Narnia Fic Exchange 2010 is finally open. Fill out the form below and that's it. The sign-up ends, 06/19. Then, in the following seven days you'll receive your prompt in an email. Then you'll have all of July and August to write your fic. That should be plenty of time for you all to finish your fics.
