This is so realistic - the waking to reality of unkept bodies, wrinkles, unused voices and forgotten words. Imagine waking in such bitterness, finding that the world has changed beyond your ken. This is rather bittersweet, but also true to the changed reality of their world. Love how you've filled one of the canon holes : )
