One of the other ideas we had for the NFE this year was open prompts. We have people who come to the comm after missing the signups and wish they could participate, and we have others who don't like to write to specific wordcounts or on deadlines. So we thought one way more people could participate was with open prompts.
The way it works is this: we'll be posting Narnia-related prompts on this journal and on the NFE Tumblr. You can write or create whatever you want - no word count minimum for fic, no time limit - based on the prompts. It can be a three sentence fic or an epic novel, it can be fanart or a fanmix or a picspam. As long as it's Narnia-related, and you created it based on the prompts, anything goes!
The only thing we ask is that you link us to the end product. You can post fic in the comments if you like, or you can link us to the fic/artwork/picspam/fanmix in the comments, or you can link us on Tumblr. Then we'll post links to your finished product here on the community. Unlike with the main Exchange, these creations do not have to be anonymous, and you can post them elsewhere.
Anyone can participate, whether you've signed up for the NFE or not. And participation is not mandatory for NFE writers! We know you're busy writing the fic you signed up for. But if you want to play along, and get the creative juices flowing, with a fic snippet or fanart or whatever strikes your fancy, please do!
We will post the responses up until it's time to start posting the Exchange fics. During the posting time, all prompt response posting will be put on hold, so as not to distract from the Exchange fics themselves. After all the fics are posted, though, we will continue to post prompt responses, if you still have them. Whenever you finish a work in response to the prompt, feel free to link to it.
Any questions? Ask here.
Disclaimer: many of the prompts are images. Some creators have been credited in the image link, but in the process of collecting the images, some of the artists names were lost. If you see something and you know the creator and can provide the name so we can credit them, please let us know. Thank you!
