OKay, I know this is Edmund-focused, and it's wonderful in that; I love the work with light vs dark, a subject which is tough to do refreshingly but which I love here
But. My favorite part of this whole first bit is Susan. SUSAN. I don't know if this is a thing that other fics have done, with her remembering more of England than the others, but I love it, and it is heartbreaking and beautiful and perfect.
