I agree with Lady Songsmith. That was absolutely one of my favorite moments in this entire fic, and there are so many beautiful moments to choose from. The way you have written almost stream of consciousness really does accentuate the strange nature of memory. I love that Lucy councils the other girls through puberty, and tells them stories of Narnia to entertain and comfort them. I love that you have built, with a few short sentences, an exquisite relationship between Lucy and Edmund that is insightful, loving, and supportive. I love that you address some of the problems of the time - the refusal to let Lucy go to college (women's college attendance was way down again by the '40s), the dull secretarial work, the rather problematic nature of trying to meet men, particularly for someone extraordinary like Lucy. I love that you manage to make Susan sympathetic here, even in the midst of her denial and refusal to talk. Just wonderfully done. :)
