Big Bang - First Check-in reminder!

The first check-in for Big Bang authors is coming up on 1 December 2011. This means that all authors need to email the mods at narniaficexchange@gmail.com with their basic story outline by this date. The next check-in will be 2 January 2012.

A few people have also asked whether it's okay for their stories to be different from what they posted in their signup. This is absolutely fine! You are not bound by the prompts you posted in signups. We understand that inspiration changes and stories don't always go in the direction we originally intended them to.

Also, don't forget that artist signups are still open!

How detailed should the outlines be? /utterly new and clueless.

It doesn't need to be terribly detailed, but it should contain things like:

- the major characters involved
- the setting (i.e. Narnia Golden Age, England 1940, etc...)
- an outline of the main plot of your story, i.e. what the main conflict and resolution will be.

For example, a story outline for Prince Caspian might be:

- The Pevensies return to Narnia a year after the events of LWW. Narnian time has elapsed by 1300 years.
- Narnia has since been conquered by Telmarines and the Narnians driven into hiding.
- Caspian, the Narnia-loving Telmarine heir, is driven out of the castle by his murderous uncle who wants the throne.
- Caspian meets up with Narnians in the woods.
- The Pevensies meet a dwarf who tells them of Prince Caspian and they set off to catch him up.
- Fight for Narnia.
- Aslan comes to help.
- Caspian is crowned, Pevensies return home.
