Aslan weaves in and out of time and worlds, and so do his stories.
The first years after the Winter had to have been hard, but they were also new beginnings, and I think Aslan was in and out a lot, and the experience of the de-petrifyed Narnians was invaluable.
Telmarine geography looks like the Wet Mountain Valley of Colorado, in my head--mostly herders, with some wheat and alfalfa--and I do think the Telmarines don't care much about their history. They can't even remember where Telmar is after three hundred years!
Jadis IS EVIL I SAY. :-D But even Narnia becomes corrupted after eight or nine centuries, and not even Talking Beasts are perfect. I do think Milophylax believed his own rhetoric, but I think a lot of it was fed (in?)directly to him from Jadis and her supporters.
I really enjoyed getting to know Althea over the course of this story, and yes, it was her faithfulness to Aslan that saved her adopted country. He would have saved things one way or the other, but it could have been a LOT uglier.
