Thank you for the high compliment of my integration with Lewis's dialogue, and I am in complete agreement that Lewis did us a disservice by telling us about the battle third-person, dozens of miles away. (Sadly, I was in agony over EXACTLY how many miles it was from the Hermit to Anvard, and the fact that Shasta slow-walked from Calormen to Narnia in a night. I concluded that Archenland is basically the size of Rhode Island. ;-))
